I've been a fan of Fathom Magazine for quite a while now. Everything from their beautiful web design to their poetry and carefully chosen artwork—it was the type of faith-influenced work I had didn't even realize I was longing to see.
That's why I'm thrilled to contribute an essay to their May issue.
In my essay, "Terrible Grace," I discuss the complicated grace of injections, pregnancy, and loss. You can think of it as a follow-up to my piece on miscarriage, if you'd like.
So go ahead and read it. But don't stop there. Read the whole issue. From dieting to the Avengers, it's a solid collection centered on the theme of "Body." (And if you like what you read, I encourage you to consider becoming a patron!)
